COVID-19 and Women's Employment

Have you been affected by a furlough or layoff? Are you hanging on by a thread -- caring for your family and your job? If so, you are not alone.

Women's jobs--especially those of Black and Latinx women--are nearly twice as likely to be negatively impacted by COVID-19.

More than 800,000 women in the U.S. have dropped out of the workforce during COVID-19 due to caregiving obligations.

It does not need to be this way.

It is imperative that women know and communicate their value at work to advocate for themselves during the multiple crises they are facing right now.

There are many NEW local, state, and federal laws that working parents should be aware of during this time, such as the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, and several others.

As a working mom and experienced employment attorney, I am passionate about work-family issues.

Knowing your rights and advocating for yourself at work is an act of self-care.

Do you need more help?

For a limited time, I am offering five discounted consults to working parents in California facing issues at work or who need help negotiating fair working conditions and severance packages.
